12 Days of Christmas - Day 1: Italkit 70cc Cylinder Kit

Our 12 Days of Christmas promotion begins today with a new special offer each day for the next twelve days. We've got some amazing deals in store on a wide range of products so hopefully there will be something to suit everyone.

So, on the first day of Christmas...

WAS £106 (RRP: £142)
NOW £85!

Italkit cylinders are produced by Italy's legendary Gilardoni factory and as expected they benefit from high-end manufacturing and offer great performance and reliability. This particular air-cooled kit for Piaggio 2T engines comprises of a one-piece head and aluminium barrel held together with a strong nikasil plating. A two-ring Vertex piston completes the kit making the most of the barrel's six port transfers and unique double bridged exhaust port.

To get the best from this kit we would recommend a larger carburettor, if this isn't an option at first then don't worry, strong results are achievable with an increase in jetting and exhaust system change from the likes of Yasuni or Doppler.

For a full fitment list, click here.

To receive this product in time for Christmas, make sure you order before our last dispatch date which is 20 December. The price reduction on this product is available until early January 2011.

Doppler S7R 70cc cylinder kit 12-15hp - Piaggio LC engines

Back out of hiding comes the S7R 70cc cylinder kit from Doppler with great performance and an amazing price tag. At only £117.45 you really can't get any better power for your money: 12-15hp!

As you might have guessed this kit has been heavily discounted. Why? Because we can. Not capable of being sold in France, the home of Doppler, has left a good number of kits with a bleak future, until now.

The only bad thing about this is that we only have it available for the liquid cooled Piaggio 2T engines but if this fits your ped's requirements, get one while you can, we can assure 100% grin factor.

Polini Big Evolution cylinder kits and exhausts

Time for a Polini update, here are the latest hottest products from Italy that any self-respecting scooter tuner should know about. First up, cylinder kits. Polini's new Big Evolution product line comprises of three cylinder kits for Piaggio liquid cooled engines - 70, 84 and now 94cc:

Polini Big Evolution 70cc Cylinder Kit

The power capabilities of this kit have been excellent and it doesn't give too much away to the likes of Malossi's 77cc kit for example, performance figures in the region of 24hp have been seen regularly on the dyno. The proof is in the pudding as they say, to see the power of this kit unleashed follow this link: Pedstop Race Team

OUR PRICE: £252.00 (inc. VAT and free delivery)

Polini Big Evolution 70cc Exhaust

Polini's latest race exhaust systems have a new manifold with three connection points which makes for a very secure connection. The differences with this exhaust straight out of the box are self-evident with a longer silencer and expansion chamber. Product code: AD/200.0286

OUR PRICE: £252.90 (inc. VAT and free delivery)

Polini Big Evolution 94cc Cylinder Kit

At last the Big Evolution 94cc kits are now in stock for Piaggio LC engines, we know that quite a few of you on our Facebook group have been waiting for this. Here's the part number you need: AD/140.0208 to go straight to the product page. Due to the size of this kit (52mm bore) you'll need to work the crankcase to accept it and the kit must be used in conjunction with the 44mm Big Evolution crankshaft (AD/210.0021). High quality bearings are also essential, we recommend the Polini Evolution type: AD/280.0042. Also worth considering is the Polini 9 roller Super Speed variator kit (AD/241.639) and an internal rotor ignition to get the best performance.

OUR PRICE: £280.88 (inc. VAT and free delivery)

Polini Big Evolution 84-94cc Exhaust

Designed specifically to suit the Big Evolution 84cc and 94cc cylinder kits you know that this race exhaust means business. Notable features include a new manifold with three connection points which makes for a very secure mounting. Differences between the range straight out of the box are again evident with the 84/94cc system benefitting from the longer silencer and expansion chamber. Product code: AD/200.0287

Project Zip - Elvington

As planned, we went to Elvington on Sunday 18 October for another sprinting session. Our rider, Josh Brown set off well on the Zip but a cold seize in the last 100 yards resulted in a 15.8 second run and a gentle roll over the line at 60mph. Things can only get better.

For your enjoyment, here's the video:

*STOP PRESS* Josh Brown to race for Adrenalin in BSSO 2010 series

We're proud to announce that up-and-coming circuit racer Josh Brown will be racing our Polini-prepped 70cc Piaggio Zip in next year's BSSO scooter series. At the ripe age of 15, Josh is already demonstrating great skill out on the track and we're very pleased to be able to support him next season. These developments mark an exciting step forward for Adrenalin and our involvement with scooter racing.

On Sunday 11 October, we took Josh along with the Zip down to Santa Pod Raceway in Bedfordshire for some performance tests on the drag strip. Track time delays due to bad weather, a strong head wind and traction issues dictate that more quarter mile testing is needed. Alterations to improve the performance of the Zip are due to be carried out by Daryl Taylor at 50cc Tuning in Doncaster before the next race meeting at Elvington in North Yorkshire on Sunday 18 October. Daryl will also continue to assist with ongoing engine work and in the paddock next season.

Get the full story and the quarter mile times in the second part of our online 'Project Zip' feature available soon at
