Our latest Athena delivery saw the arrival of forged piston kits for RS 125 and AF1 125 models using Rotax 122 / 123 engines. With both A and C grade pistons available the A is 53.95mm and C 53.97mm. The choice is there for older barrels that may be slightly worn requiring a piston kit that’s a fraction bigger. We expect these will be very popular amongst the British Superteen racing classes as they're cheaper and much stronger than the original.

New universal carburettors from Polini

For two and four-stroke engines and available in four sizes: 24, 26, 28 and 30mm these new universal carburetors from Polini comprise of a flat valve made of chromed light alloy that's more resistant to abrasion and wear. They're die-cast in light aluminium alloy with CNC machined centers, are easy to set up and offer great performance at every rpm along with greater pick up and acceleration whilst improving top speed by optimising the overall power output. Polini 9 Roller Evolution 3 Hi-Speed Variator Kit

This is the latest version of the extraordinary nine roller variator kit from Polini. The main improvement is a lubrication system that features a case hardened nickel bush pin with a large internal pocket that contains a special grease. The addition of a spring inside the internal pocket allows the grease to distribute evenly on the pin even under extreme racing conditions. There are other changes too like the new nylon and aramidic fibre coated rollers to further help roller sliding. All in all, this kit will not only improve transmission effectiveness, it will enable lower service intervals too.

Made up of two layers of sponge, one more porous than the other, these panel filter sheets offer brilliant filtration and in some cases offer a small performance gain. Many of you will have already seen or used a Polini swivel manifold, we now have another to add to the collection. This particular one is for all Derbi and Minarelli AM6 engines. With a 35mm carburettor union diameter it’s aimed at those serious about speed as it’s designed for use with big flat slide carbs or Dell'Orto VHST 28mm etc. For anyone who hasn’t already seen these manifolds they come in two parts; an aluminium base plate and the inlet rubber itself. This configuration allows you to swivel the inlet rubber to point the carburettor any which way you want giving more carb / filter clearance.

New Polini Cylinder Kit for Yamaha X-MAX and X-CITY 125 / MBK Cityliner 125

Polini's new cylinder kit for 4T Yamaha X-MAX and X-CITY 125 / MBK Cityliner 125 grants great performance and faster acceleration through the rev range making overtaking easier thanks to the fast power delivery of this kit. The kit comes together with a pressure regulator, it's easy to fit and has been calibrated to suit the original exhaust system. By increasing the fuel pressure in the injection system this eliminates the use of the electric gear case thus increasing the power and torque of your scooter.

Technical Features

Made in Italy, this Polini cylinder kit has a 63mm bore and a displacement of 182.66cc. The displacement improves the power output of the scooter with a 11,5:1 compression ratio. The cylinder is cast in light aluminium alloy. The liner with Nickel-Siliceous coating improves the sliding of the piston and resistance to wear and abrasion. The kit includes the new SLS (Single Layer Steel) head gaskets made of flouride techno-polymers that are resistant to high temperatures. The piston is die-cast at high siliceous content with 'omega' design. This reduces thermal expansion and slack. Two special rings and one scraper ring are included with the piston. Polini's special piston dome design also improves the compression ratio.
