Yasuni C16 Exhaust System for Minarelli Vertical Engines

The Carrera C16 is a racing system that carries the typical Yasuni attributes like the neat way the silencer attaches and the industrial but elegant bracket configuration. Top this off with a very revvy disposition and high top speed and you have the perfect pipe.

If you look at the many cones that have been used to create this one then it should be easy to realise that the price tag should be closer to the C30 rather than the C16. This is definitely a system that should be used in conjunction with a 70cc setup not forgetting the usual roller and clutch spring changes. Potential purchasers should be aware that this exhaust can only be used with the centre stand removed.

Example Fitment: Aprilia Amico, MBK Booster 50 / Booster Next Gen / Rocket / Stunt

Our Price: £189.99 (inc. VAT and free delivery). RRP: £229.63

Italkit 140cc cylinder kit for Aprilia RS125

We'd like to draw your attention to another quality cylinder kit from Italkit - this 140cc offering for the Rotax 122 engine is a great alternative to the expensive stock item or even Polini's 154cc kit. Using the original skull cap helps to keep the price down and make fitting an easy job.

The cylinder's produced by Gilardoni (the original manufacturer for Aprilia) so you can expect quality. And it comes with a forged and balanced Vertex piston with a molybdenum disulfide coating which helps reduce friction, this coating actually becomes less prone to friction with an increased vacuum making heat seizures a thing of the past.

Fitment: Aprilia: 125 Sport, AF1 125 Futura, AF1 125 Replica, AF1 125 Sintesi, Europa 125, MX, Pegaso 125, Red Rose 125, RS 125 Extrema, RX 125 R, Tuareg Rally 125, Tuareg Wind 125

Our Price: £350 (inc. VAT and free delivery)

Italkit Competition 74cc cylinder kit for Minarelli horizontal liquid cooled engines

Italkit cylinders are produced by Italy's legendary Gilardoni factory so as you'd expect they benefit from high end manufacturing which means great reliability and performance. This particular kit comprises of a two piece head and aluminium barrel with nikasil plating along with a Vertex single ring piston thus enabling reduced friction and heat transfer. There are six port transfers in this one and an exhaust port configuration similar to the Polini Evolution line up:

As this kit is compatible with Minarelli horizontal liquid cooled engines it can be fitted to a wide number of scooters including: Aprilia Area 51/Rally 50 LC/Sonic LC/SR 50 LC 1994-99, Bennelli 491 LC/K2 50 LC, Beta Ark LC/Eikon 50, Italjet Dragster 50, Malaguti F12 Phantom 50 LC, Malaguti F15 Firefox/Mach-G LC/Nitro 50, Yamaha Aerox 50/JOG RR LC/Zest

To get the best performance we recommend fitting a bigger carb, however good results can still be achieved with an increase in jetting and a good exhaust system.

Our Price: £173.25 (inc. VAT and free delivery). RRP: £203.85

SCOOTER-X / BMF Moped Enduro 2010

Some of you may recall our SCOOTER-X escapades from last year. Well, we like off-roading here at Adrenalin and we've been itching to get back out for some more dirt riding in between our busy schedule. On Sunday we went to the BMF Show in Peterborough and took part in their annual Moped Enduro Challenge.

There are two rounds in the competition, 65 teams, the team that does the most laps wins. Zack Tingle, one of the riders in our race team already has some experience at this event. As you'll see in the video he got off to a good start but technical problems meant our Gilera Ice was down on power, ideally we'd have liked to have bombed round the track at breakneck speed. Still, it was fun and a good day out, take a look at our video:

Four race victory for Josh Brown at Three Sisters

The second round of this year's BSSO Championship took place last weekend on 08/09 May at the Three Sisters race track in Wigan. Both days went really well especially for Josh who won all four races. Not only that he broke the lap record which he held from last year but that was on a 77cc, this time our Polini Evolution 3 70cc engine gave him the muscle he needed on the track. Meanwhile, Sam successfully completed and won the Young Guns class and is getting quicker every race. Apart from injuring his knee after an off on day one, Zack did really well too bearing in mind that this was only his fourth race meeting. He appears to be getting to grips with the set up of the bike and is bringing lap times down every lap and coming in mid-pack. We can see Zack in the top three within the next meeting or two.

Day 1:

Day 2: In race three Josh completed a lap of the circuit in 1:02.05 setting a new track record. Observe how he achieved this in lap four:

Bizarrely Josh's quickest lap was identical (1:02.05) in the last race as was his top speed - 54.08mph which goes to show his consistency out there on the track:

Introducing Pedstop stunt rider: Toby Wilkinson

Keep your eyes peeled for more stunting action from Toby during the course of the year...

New Polini Water Pump / Evolution Grips

New from Polini is this CNC-machined stainless steel water pump shaft for Piaggio Zip scooters:

This new bit of kit replaces the original Piaggio water pump, it's lighter in weight and features a stainless steel shaft and toothed pulley made from 'special steel'. Polini products are designed with racing applications in mind and this item is no exception. For those who want to it's possible to remove the mixer.

Another addition to the ever-expanding Polini Evolution product line are these funky grips in those familiar white/blue Polini colours. The grips are accompanied by a pair of brake lever covers which makes for a good combo when it comes to safety, comfort and ergonomics. The lever covers are made of a special anti-slip sponge comprising of selected elastomers and technopolymers of aerospace origin. The grips have been specifically designed to prevent the hand from slipping and help neutralise vibrations.

Polini TORSEN WD Swing Arm

It certainly looks the biz, it's the 'Torsen WD' and it's a brand new swing arm from Polini designed for use with 50cc Piaggio and Minarelli engines.

With Moto GP styling, the Torsen WD swing arm is designed to stiffen the engine case therefore avoiding flexing which could lead to cracking. The addition of a bearing to support the axle further reduces flexing and stress and according to Polini, improves transmission efficiency. The system also improves stability when riding and cornering as well as reducing asymmetric tyre wear.

The Torsen WD is suitable for both track use and road use and can be fitted exclusively together with the new Big Evolution exhausts or the Polini For Race 2 and Scooter Team homologated exhausts.

Fitment: Piaggio engines (both short and long engine cases). Minarelli engines, CW series with vertical cylinder, MY series (air cooled) and MA series (liquid cooled) with horizontal cylinder and long case.
